Yoga Bio
My training is through the original YogaWorks in Santa Monica, CA. The YogaWorks style is a combination of Iyengar, Ashtanga, and the yoga of Desikachar, with an emphasis on alignment and intelligent sequencing. I have completed the 200-hour Teacher Training, 300-hour Professional Program, 100-hour Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training, 20-hour Groovy Kids Yoga Teacher Training, 40-hour Prenatal Teacher Training, and 25-hour Senior Yoga Teacher Training, in addition to many workshops and countless classes. I passed the Yoga Works Certification exam in fall 2008, and had the opportunity of assisting a Yoga Works Teacher Training in Chapel Hill, NC during July 2009.
My yoga practice and teaching style owe a huge debt to Annie Carpenter, Birgitte Kristen, and Lisa Walford. Other teachers I’ve been influenced by for a more limited time frame include Natasha Rizopoulos, Greville Henwood, Brock Cahill, Vinnie Marino, David Kim, Kathryn Budig, Seane Corne, and Patti Asad. And last but not least I’m indebted to Maty Ezraty, YogaWorks founder and the teacher of many of my teachers.
